My husband may have deserted me on Valentine’s Day, but he did do one very good thing for me recently. At Christmas, I was treated to a beautifully tailored tweed coat from Really Wild Clothing which I have worn and worn and… well you get the picture. I love this coat because I may be wearing a very casual jumper and jeans underneath, but it makes me feel effortlessly stylish. I also quite like the fact that, among others, Anna Friel, Liz Hurley and Kate Middleton have all been spotted wearing Really Wild – so they obviously have the same exquisite taste as husband!
Natalie Lake is the powerhouse behind Really Wild. She started her company ten years ago when she saw how little choice there was in country clothing for women. In those days, if you took part in outdoor pursuits you wore shapeless coats and jackets – there simply was nothing flattering on the market. So Natalie set about sourcing the finest British tweed and leathers and designed a fashionable collection that had a much neater, more feminine fit. It was a collection that has since expanded to include must-haves for any city girl’s wardrobe. Her carefully colour coordinated clothes are famous for their distinctive touches – bespoke buttons, contrast stitching and coordinating linings and pipings. This attention to detail is one of the reasons that Really Wild is now so sought after, from field to Fulham and beyond.
Anyhow, perhaps when Husband finally feels guilty about missing Valentine’s Day, he’ll decide to give me a belated present… a pair of Natalie’s hot pink suede gloves will do nicely!
