I have always thought that Ocado was a luxury service but I have now realised that the delivery charge is not a lot more than the parking ticket in my local supermarket car park plus there is the time saved and the food not bought just because it took your fancy as you wheel your trolley around!
Times are changing and people are very aware of not being wasteful so sticking to a list is the best solution and shopping online is a great way to achieve this. Of course you also have a running cost total at the side and it reminds you of offers you may have missed. When in a supermarket it is so time consuming trying to compare the prices of different brands whereas online it is done for you.
Plus of course I have discovered that they sell all sorts of items not necessarily associated with courgettes and cornflakes……make-up, Essie nail varnishes, Valentine gifts, Figleaves underwear and the list is constantly growing.
I have just tried their Lemony Dahl recipe from their Ocado Life section for my OH’s lunch and he said it was delicious. Again it is beautifully laid out on their site so that under the recipe you have a list of the ingredients needed and you don’t have to search for them.
I have nothing but praise for this site, a punctual and efficient delivery system and they even made it to my back door when we had 6 inches of snow!
