CHRISTMAS WREATH COMPETITION

AND THE WINNER IS………. CAROL PONTIN.

Carol’s clever use of raspberries

Congratulations go to Carol who will shortly be decorating her door with a fabulous handmade wreath designed by Jo Wise from top florist Green and Gorgeous.

Thank you to everyone who entered the Christmas Wreath competition – there was a huge variety of  unusual items used by our readers in wreath making, including crocheted flowers, monkey nuts, and even dog biscuits. But the winning entry was Carol’s inclusion of raspberries (as shown here) in her Christmas wreath.

Carol says “Hi Country Wives, I am absolutely thrilled to have won the competition, I have never won anything in my life and it is great that my raspberries did it for me!! They have appeared in Christmas decorations for many many years!!

  1. Cut outs from post cards received throughout the year – all brightly coloured parts of the cards and tied on with coloured rafia!

  2. dog biscuits!

  3. So wish I could think of something funny and interesting to pretend to have used, but truth is, I’m not that creative so generally buy my decorations. Looks amazing though, shall go over and take a look at their website now.

  4. Just love your honest comment Citygirlnomore…. Jo Wise does amazing stuff doesn’t she. Alternatively you can buy a basic greenery wreath at your garden centre and stick your own Xmas baubles on with florist wire….won’t be as fab as Green and Gorgeous, but will still look good… Grace x

  5. Crocheted flowers- they looked great until it rained- then not so good!

  6. Monkey nuts and bird seed wired in little circles.
