Hunted series 1 available as dvd set

New 8 part series, Hunter, started Thursday 4th October from the makers of Spooks. Hunted, which was created by Frank Spotnitz, follows Sam Hunter, played by Melissa George (ex Grey’s Anatomy), a highly skilled operative for an elite private intelligence firm who survives an attempt on her life that may have been orchestrated by members of her own team. Once she returns to the firm, she performs her secretive duties without knowing who to trust and who wants her dead. The drama series also stars Adam Rayner as Aidan Marsh, Sam’s colleague and potential love interest at the firm.

Annabel’s review: I loved it and I know that some of it is far fetched i.e tiny Melissa George taking out about 5 burly men in the first 15 minutes but it is a good watch. Fast, furious, some eye-candy for the OH and for me (Adam Rayner). Maybe not as good as Homeland but it certainly is a good replacement for the much missed Spooks.

Series is over now but definitely feel I could watch this again as not completely sure I got all of it – bit of a twist at the end?! Look out for Hunted dvd series coming out 26th November (click on box below to order), good Xmas gift for friends or family.

P.S. Also feel that there has been a door left open for another series – do hope so.

  1. Frank Spotnitz should be ashamed of himself. This series should be credited to the great American J.J.Abrams as this whole thing is a British version of Alias replaced by a new girl but the story is exactly the same. Wait a minute, the girl has not been replaced. I remember now, Melissa George played a nobody in Alias when Jennifer Garner was the star of the show and rightly so.

Annabel
Mother of four plus two dogs, some people think I am very organised but I think I chase my tail most of the time. Children are semi grown up which means their problems are bigger and I don't get to solve them over a bubble bath. The Other Half (OH) is very tolerant, has a good sense of humour and goes along with most of my plans. We have lived in Henley for 10 years, previously from London, and love the nearness of the city whilst still enjoying the beauty of the surrounding area. Love to cook if someone else would do the shopping and even the choosing of the menu; love to read (more recently on a Kindle) but still struggle to find the time and more often than not am asleep after 5 minutes. Love to walk with the dogs and any members of my family who are out of bed, though 3 prolapsed discs are trying to stop me (never been good at being told 'No') and so doing lots of Pilates to compensate! I blog to make myself laugh at life's little hiccoughs. My motto is "try and turn a lemon into a melon"!!
