I was asked yesterday on Twitter what the 3 Countrywives were up to at that moment and it couldn’t have been more different; Grace was in the garden sunbathing (not very successfully) Ellie was greeting the Olympic flame to Spa town, which was being borne by Zara Tindall on horseback, and I was window cleaning!!
I love clean windows and think that it is a quick way to make your house look cared for however our local window cleaner has been slowly raising his prices, which I don’t blame him for as everything else is rising, but he has now got to a price that I think twice before asking him to come around. However I have solved the problem and all for a £9.49 for a life time investment. I have long been a fan of the e-cloth mop from e-cloth, their tag line being ‘perfect cleaning with just water’, but when ordering a new mop head I found they had a 2 cloth window cleaning pack and I was hooked. My small parcel arrived yesterday and I tore it open, whipped out the cloths, grabbed a water spray and, ignoring the soaring temperatures, rushed around the house cleaning inside and out any window, mirror, glass top table that I could find. I hardly broke into a sweat and it is seriously easy as the smears just disappear and it literally involves a spray all over of the window, followed by a wipe down with cloth 1 followed by a polish with cloth 2. In some cases cloth 2 was not needed. I am now living in Sparkle House and my husband noticed…..he never notices a new haircut, glowing skin after a facial but sparkling windows hit the G or rather E spot with him!
Maybe if this double dip continues I could “earn an honest bob” (George Formby) with my 2 magic cloths and offer my services to the neighbours!! There are some who may feel the second verse of this memorable song suits me well…….
Now it’s a job that just suits me
A window cleaner you would be
If you can see what I can see
When I’m cleanin’ windows!!
Bye for now, am off to find some dirty windows, Annabel x

I love e-cloths but never thought to buy them online. Thanks for the tip. I could get quite carried away on this site, I am a saddo!
