Thanks Ellie (and, of course, Tesco Finest) for another great cost saving idea – I can vouch for it being delicious because the smaller packs of smoked salmon are a staple in our house (also often on offer, three packs for £10). On my own personal frugal note, picked a whole big bunch of wild garlic leaves on my dawg dawdle this morning – there’s a profusion of the stuff by the little stream that runs through the woodland. It’s free, deliciously mild and works brilliantly in the James Martinrecipe I knocked up this evening (husband is still licking his lips and muttering superlatives). Best harvested before the pretty white flowers appear, I’m going to pick loads over the next few weeks – mostly to add to salads and pasta dishes (it’s just as good raw as lightly cooked) and knock up a few (freezable) batches ofWild Garlic Pesto. Happy cooking… love Grace, she of slightly garlicky breath.

with that kind a breath sex is the oooonly answer!
