How’s the week off from snoring going Ellie? Good I hope. My Husband was in North Wales last night and so I was also relishing having the whole bed to myself. I snuggled under the duvet, Jack Russell curled up by my side, and watched two episodes of Sky+’dSopranos(have only recently discovered this drama series on Sky Atlantic and am absolutely hooked and, weirdly, find myself strangely attracted to Mafia boss Tony Soprano who goes to bed wearing a vest!). Needless to say, neither staying up late or having woofer on bed usually possible.I slept – and probably snored – like a baby until 5am, when the fragrance ofslightly burntchicken soup wafted up from the kitchen and I realised I’d left the pot in the Aga all night. While I was rescuing it, I made a cup of tea, went back to bed and read a few chapters of Alexander McCall Smith’sThe World According To Bertie, the fourth in his much loved 44 Scotland Street series.
After another couple of hours sleep, I’m up and raring to start my Friday. I know several other couples who successfully sleep apart, but it has never appealed to me before now. What does everyone else think? Would love to hear your comments….x

Dont do it. Everyone needs a cuddle. Sabrina P.
They say that the largest percentage of married couples rarely have sex – so why put up withthe snoring!
I too hate the snoring, love the occasional night/week when husband is away but worry that if we did have separate rooms it would be the beginning of the end as it would be unusual amongst our contemporaries. However with all kids away and now rattling around in with bedrooms empty it is extremely tempting!

Sounds like you need a bit of loving girl!
Well to me the difference between a snoring, farting husband and a snoring farting dog is that you can kick the dog off the bed and he forgives you…
Were you glad to have yoru hsuband back?
Trust me – snoring is preferable to the alternative. My hubbies snoring drove me batty, so much that I ended up on sofa much of time, and he started spending more and more time away on business. 6 months ago he left me. And for a woman who never complains about his snoring apparently. lol.
Thanks for finding me. Good to meet your acquaintances and look forward to following the blog (in between the writing, divorce proceedings and domestic crap. lol)
warm wishes
Debbie
