Up early, take husband to train, take dogs for walk, (first decision of the day – which walk, wellies or walking boots?), or maybe an exercise class, home for cup of tea, read the paper then housework. Read emails, bit of computer time, few phone calls, pay a few bills. Maybe a trip to Waitrose! Oh it’s fun, fun, fun back in my little world of routine!
My Youngest Daughter is off to Qatar tomorrow for some work experience though looking at her itinerary it looks more like a holiday with some work thrown in now and then. I am hoping that she doesn’t like the living abroad experience, too much sun can be so bad for your skin I keep telling her, don’t dare tell her that I will miss her terribly because I know what she will reply.
So tomorrow I will just have Eldest Daughter left for a couple of weeks before she disappears back to university so I am going to have fun with her, spoiling her rotten as I so rarely get time with just one child. Theatre, cinema, shopping trips will all be on the agenda. I have been very lucky as I have had both daughters for most of the summer which at 20 and 21 years is a bonus. One takes all those early years so much for granted when they are with you all the time and then they are gone and all you want is to turn back the clock.
P.S. My routine is already picking up as Doc Martin starts tonight on TV and Downton Abbey next Sunday so that’s two evenings sorted – only need to sort a social life out for the other 5 in case someone calls me boring!

Well I still love ya!!Ellie x
