Much excitement as David Walliams arrived at Marsh Lock, Henley, for a rowdy welcome from daughters and their friends who were still drunk from previous night’s birthday celebrations. Jimmy Carr was in the support boat and so as soon as they saw him the home team began to sing which seemed to be much appreciated by David!! He was a star and got into the birthday celebrations with Jordi who had brought her cake along. I hope everyone is sponsoring him because it is a huge challenge that he has set himself and he must be so exhausted yet he still has time to chat to all his supporters who have turned out along the way.
