Phoned Ellie and asked what she was up to and she was writing to Country school, again! I remember so well those days when the children were at prep school and we had these ideas of how it should be done and sometimes (often) the schools/teachers did not quite match up to our standards/demands and so letters had to be written. Now mine are at secondary school and university I have given up. On the other hand I was at niece’s engagement party on Friday and was chatting to a prep school teacher friend of niece and she was saying how critical parents can be and yet teachers cannot respond by saying how they do not think we match up to their standards/demands as parents! Good point and can you imagine the secrets that a class of 7 year olds tell their teacher about home life! But Ellie you must keep on writing because it is your job as a parent to try and get the best for your child and when they have left Country school can you publish the letters for all to read as they are so brilliantly worded and they could be used as a template by future parents!
