Annabel sings Happy Birthday to not quite so old Youngest Daughter!

And not sure I did it with such gusto as Grace.
I read your blog, Grace and much of it applies to my youngest daughter who I also love to bits. She turned 19 today so that is only 2.5 dog years but she is still extremely spritely and has an immaculate set of teeth which cost Husband, with bionic knees, and I a lot of money paid over to some expensive orthodontist in Harley Street.
My Youngest Daughter has had a few scrapes in her life most notably at birth when she had breathing difficulties and twice stopped breathing which made husband and I also stop breathing! She also was born with an S shaped spine and this has involved endless visits to back specialists and physios, none of which I would describe in quite such glowing terms as Grace’s vet. She has swallowed copious quantities of vodka and rose wine, these being her tipple, and has gone missing, normally during the early hours of the morning. I admire her brains and beauty though she does not use the former to its full potential, however the latter she uses on most of the male population of both Henley and Bristol. I too love her expressions, her athleticism, captain of school rounder’s team!!!, her independent spirit though hopefully she will still come home regularly from uni and indulge her ageing parents. I think she may be a little more house trained than Jack but she is equally as loved in this home. Unfortunately I could not get away with just a muesli biscuit and a toy as a present and a very patient Husband and I have just spent a few hours with the birthday girl in Westfield Shopping Centre, melting the debit card but thoroughly enjoying being able to spoil her.
Luckily the trip was curtailed as she needed to lie down because the hangover from last nights’ revelries kicked in at about 3 p.m. and she dived off to her brother’s flat to re-charge her batteries before another evening out, but this time with boyfriend and his family. We were loathed to hand her over but realised that we are going have to learn to share her with the rest of the world…..so Grace enjoy the fact that you don’t have to share your Jack with anyone! So a very happy birthday to both Youngest Daughter and Jack who clearly both bring a lot of joy into the lives of those who care about them!
