We emptied the attic…Pradahandbags, beautifulStrenessedresses (great stretchy numbers!), Ted Bakersunglasses, Diesel -Kidetc..did thebuyersnotice any of that? No, of course not, because clearly what I think is really super and have sadlyworn in public,others just want to run a mile from! Give someone a price of £2 and they come back with ” Give ya 50p! “, ” Piss off ” I want to say back, but of course I patheticallyrespond with an”OK!” and off goes the hat that I wore to youngest’s christening for 50p, rather 50p than nothing I used to think! Wetook £50 and what we didn’t sellhas goneto neighbours, however, Ihave finally reached the place whereI will be genuinely happy to givethings away, especiallywhen they have hardly been used (which is the hardest!). For some reason in the past I have hung on to these “hardly been used”items for years, thinking that one day Icould sell them. That is nonsense, and having now done the rather exhausting and demoralising boot sale, I have decided that I would much rather give my seconds to friends and family than make a couple of extra quid! Obviously I have historically given seconds to family and to charity but not everything, now they willget everythingandit will give me huge pleasure to be giving it to them. I feel bad that I have been so selfish in the past and I am looking forward to no longer hoarding my orange dresses.
